Gender Decoder

Derive ESG-focused insights for thousands of public and private companies, including the MSCI World Index. Select a company/ticker to screen their job listings for gender-coded words, and determine the % gender bias within each posting. For example, over the past two years ServiceNow has dropped from nearly 50% to below 30% masculine-biased words in their job descriptions.

This tool was developed based on the research paper “Evidence That Gendered Wording in Job Advertisements Exists and Sustains Gender Inequality,” written by Danielle Gaucher, Justin Friesen, and Aaron C. Kay.
